The Marincu Palace, built in 1908 currently hosting the Art and Ethnography Museum in Calafat, is one of the neoclassical jewels of Dolj. The palace stands out with fine details and exceptional quality of the materials used.
In 1914, before his death, Stefan Marincu donated the palace to the local community.
As of 1967, the Art and Ethnography Museum functions in this building with the significant support of descendants of the Marincu family.
