The Natural Sciences Department of the Oltenia Museum was first open in 1923. The exhibitions depict the most representative ecosystems of Oltenia. Exhibitions include the artificial cave, where visitors become acquainted with various types of speleothems, a basic paleontology exhibition, a cosmogony exhibition and a Planetarium.
