The building of the museum was built at the beginning of the 20th century for the local administration. It was donated to the museum by the Constanta Municipality in 1977. It exhibits items of prehistorical, Greek, Roman, Byzantine and medieval archaeology. The first floor of the museum is arranged chronologically – from the Paleolithic to the Middle Ages.
